Insanely Fat Freshwater Drum Eats Anglers Trick Worm And Wins Him Fishing Contest

This week's #KarlsCatch contest goes to Max Swift who shared a giant freshwater drum caught by his fishing buddy to the Fishing Free For All Facebook group. The unexpected catch came while the guys were fishing the shore of a small lake while casting soft plastics for largemouth bass. Freshwater drum are opportunity feeders known to devour cut bait, chase crankbaits, and in this case, slurp up finesse worms intended to trick pond bass.

As a prize, we're going to hook Max up with gear from Karl's to share with his fishing buddy who doesn't use social media. To enter the next contest, join the Fishing Free For All Facebook group and share a recent catch with the group using the hashtag #KarlsCatch.

We don't need the GPS coordinates of where you're catching fish, but a few details to go along with your picture is an easy way to increase your chances of winning. Things you can include: Fishing depth, lures or rigs used, or a memorable moment from the catch.
