Savvy Angler Enlists Government Help To Find Secret Honey Hole

No fishermen likes to reveal his favorite spots. Once you find the honey hole, the only thing keeping it from staying a honey hole is overfishing from fellow anglers.Camping with my dad as a little guy growing up, one of my fondest memories of my childhood was my dad telling me if I told anyone where we were I was walking home. We were about 270 miles away from my house. Giving up the juice is some serious stuff.Mike Borger made a video catching some monster brook trout with his son, and revealed just the general area of where he was catching, Algonquin Park in Canada. This tidbit of information wasn't enough, as one greedy angler needed to know exactly which lake on the park's chain of HUNDREDS he was catching these keepers.

So how do you handle watching someone catch huge fish after huge fish, bragging about the size of the fish an ease of the catch, and them not sharing after that information? The Freedom Of Information Act.The Freedom Of Information Act was mostly started by a few nation's governments to gain some transparency in the government, so citizens could be in the know on what they were up to. Little did they know they were also opening up a loophole for a salty angler to find out the spot of a YouTuber.Mike Borger received notice of this attempt at the loophole via a 6 page government issued document (which, as of publishing, has not yet been enforced). The document detailed the request, which stated his camping permits should be released, since he was camping on public, government owned property while catching and filming.Long story short: I respect the pettiness of the angler who filed the FOIA Claim, especially considering it has a 0% chance of working. Basically, all he was doing was letting Mr Borger know he's onto him and will stop at nothing to find this spot.I also respect Mike Borger for not caving and giving his spot away. Even with this stage 5 clinger trying this hard to figure out his honey hole, he hasn't backed down. His response: I'll see you in court. All in all, a pretty funny story regarding our favorite sport. Check out the video that drove the angler over the edge and forced him to get some help from Big Brother here:
