Really not functional for most situations
The deeper was rally not functional. each time I have tried it, it has failed to be useful for different reasons. Firs the range is poor, and with a older system (eg ipod tounch) that you might not be as afraid to get wet, it won't have reasonable range. For example wouldn't work off a pier. If I use my iphone 6s, the range might be a bit better, but still it is not functional because if there is any wave action at all, it will easily wash over the top of the deeper and cut your signal. If you want to troll it, you would have to have to buy the fixed mount system, and then have a very stable boat (for me it won't work because water will wash over the top and cut the signal at even under 2 miles/hr). Also the depth range is shallow, so in a deeper lake 100ft or more the screen just reads "too deep". TRY A DIFFERENT PRODUCT.
Good but vulnerable
Brought this with me out on a lake, and was working great until a catfish grabbed it. Sadly, I lost my fish finder.

It's heavy and forces you to bring more poles than needed. Additionally, it tells you wish are there. Minnows and all. Bluetooth connectivity intermittent.

Used it for ice fishing and it worked great! Flasher and standard fishfinder in one, great. Can't wait for ice to melt! I'm a bank fisherman, this has been a great option for me, I am really excited about this thing! Would recommend without any doubts.
