Taps and Tackle Co. opened Nov. 11 inside The Bottle Stop at 35C Park Ridge Drive in Park Ridge. It’s a bait shop that specializes in musky lures and also serves draft beer.



Matt Lazarski, the owner of The Bottle Stop, and his friend Jozef Wojciehoski were inspired by shared passions around musky fishing, beer and spirits. Lazarski’s idea for Taps and Tackle Co. came from needing to purchase musky tackle in central Wisconsin.



“This is an idea we’ve been toying around with for quite some time,” Lazarski said. “We’re doing something that has never been done before, bringing a bar to a musky bait shop.”

Wisconsin is known for giant musky and copious amounts of beer, so this combination fits a market need and makes complete sense. Much more so than combing a Dunkin' Donuts and a Baskin Robbins. However, slightly less than the KFC and Taco Bell combination. Getting a Crunchwrap Supreme and the Colonel's fried chicken in the same order is, as they say in fishing, a game-changer.
