Apparently Fish Can Be Sad?
A New York Times article has been circulating regarding a very important topic: sad fish.Apparently the author of the article stayed at a hotel where there was a Siamese Beta Fish named Bruce Lee (hilarious pet name). Bruce Lee tended to hover around the rocks in his bowl, not play too much, and be overall lethargic. Which, until today, I thought was just being a fish.As far as I'm concerned, I've only seen one fish with an excuse to be sad in my whole entire life: Nemo's dad after Nemo got way too bold, tried to touch the butt, and got kidnapped.
Fish can't be sad, because if fish can be sad then fishing would make me feel bad. I choose to live in a world where every fish is happy as a clam. Even the Tilapia I had for dinner last night. When I set the hook they're just basically buckling in for a zany roller coaster ride. When I fillet them that's just a bit of acupuncture, relieves stress. Fried tacos = a day in the hot tub. You get the idea. If fish are sad, why don't they just say so? 🤔 Definitely something to think about. Also, if you know of a sad fish, just play this .gif in front of their bowl!
