Lay Your 2 Eyes On This 3 Eyed Catfish

Earlier this week, in the notoriously disgusting waterways of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, a man pulled out this alleged 3 Eyed Catfish. Named "Brooklyn Blinky," after the Simpsons fish that was a product of mutation in the sewage plant where Bart fishes, this canal monster has been the subject of some debate since he was pulled from the Gowanus.There have been 3 eyed fish caught before, including a walleye in the Great Lakes Basin, but they were more obviously deformed and products of genetic mutation. The grainy video and way it seems staged has brought up some red flags to non-believers who refuse to verify Blinky's existence.NYU biologist Richard Borowsky disagrees with me, however, stating to The Post "It looks like someone stuck a piece of paper on this [fish] to make it look like a third eye."John Waldman, a Queens College Biology Professor, also thinks he has debunked the myth claiming in a comment on the video even a freshwater catfish like the one in the video wouldn't be living in the salty Gowanus, let alone one with 3 eyes.I, personally, want to believe that 3 eyed catfish do swim in the Gowanus Canal and Bigfoot catches and fries them when no one is watching. So despite the video seemingly being filmed by a bad actor in a low budget horror movie, my verdict is Blinky is real.Who do you believe? Me, or some fancy "scientists"?
