Man Breaks 39 Year Old Washington State Largemouth Bass Record
Records were made to be broken, and every time a state largemouth bass record is broken, we LOVE it! Bill Evans caught this behemoth on August 8th, 2016 in Lake Bosworth, located in Snohomish County of Washington State. Bill was rigged up with a wacky rigged Strike King 5-in Shim-E-Stick when he reeled in the 12.53 lb, 23 in long fish. It had a belly girth of 22.5 inches!
Washington DFW
Bill, who has the hat and shirt of a man that DESERVES a state record, told the DFW he knew he had a monster the second he set the hook. "As soon as I set the hook, I knew it had to be a big one because the bottom pulled hard and it just wouldn't quit," Evans told WDFW. "When she finally tried to jump, she could only get her head out of the water."Bill says he tried to get the fish into his livewell but her tail wouldn't even fit! Congratulations to Bill on breaking this 39 year old record last held by Carl Pruitt and his 11.57 lb LMB he pulled out of Banks Lake.
