Potential World Record Black Crappie Caught In East Tennessee

Jam Ferguson was fishing a local pond in Paint Rock, Tennessee on May 15, 2018. pitching a Triple Threat John Deere colored grub into the water looking for panfish. A few casts into the evening, he hooked into what will soon be verified as the new WORLD RECORD black crappie! The monstrous slab of a crappie weighed in at 5 lbs, 4.6 oz, blowing by the current world record of an even 5 lbs, originally caught in a private lake in Georgia. This fish of a lifetime also shattered the state record of 4 lbs, 4 oz. Words can't quite do this behemoth justice, so we'll just congratulate Jam Ferguson again on his new black crappie world record and leave you with a few more pics of the slab via Scout:
