Watch A 120 Pound Prehistoric Fish Get Pulled Through The Ice

The Minnesota Lake Sturgeon record has been broken! Measuring in at 78 inches and weighing over 120 pounds, the new record Sturgeon is estimated to be over 100 years old.


Darren Troseth and John Kimble were ice fishing on the St. Croix River near Bayport, MN targeting Sturgeon. The pair was fishing an area known for pumping out giant fish so their expectations were high. Typically, sturgeon dwell near the river bottom of this northern fishery and are usually targeted and caught at night. The duo got their money's worth on this trip with their catch landing the two friends in the record books of one of the most fish hardcore fishing states in the country. Read The Full Story: Here
