When, Where, And How: Alberto Knot 101
The Alberto Knot is the preferred knot for an increasingly popular technique in bass fishing: Tying fluorocarbon leader to a spool of braid. This technique is gaining steam for anglers looking to have maximum action braid on the line, but present to a fish with nearly invisible fluorocarbon. The one deterring factor in using a braid/fluro combination is having to tie it on. Many anglers don't employ this rig out of fear it will break off, and because they think it takes too long. That is not the case with the Alberto Knot.
