Overview:
Denver
Denver, along with several other metropolitan areas in the Western region of the U.S., is great trout fishing. While bass are definitely available to catch, the main attraction here is fly fishing the rivers and streams for browns and rainbows. You’ll also catch the occasional pike, and you never know when a catfish might pop up.

Charlotte:
The Catawba River runs right outside of Charlotte, and is one of the more scenic rivers in the country. For spots where the river is actually flowing, the fishing is great. The river opens up to be almost lake sized passages at several locations, and you’d need a boat to get to the depths necessary to have success. You can fish for trout and even try your luck with a fly rod, but you’re most likely to catch Largemouth Bass, and Sunfish mixing in with several different species of Catfish.
An abandon power station along the Catawba River. This close to the head waters, the Catawba River is little more than a stream and the power station is really nothing more than a single room building. I took this back in June. I recall that it was raining and my wife was holding the umbrella over my camera so it would stay dry while I captured the moment with it. #lazyshutters #longexposure #abandoned #abandon #abandon_seekers #northcarolina #catawba #water #waterfall #filter #stream #river #getsoaked #getoutside #tagforlikes #hike #hiking #optoutside #wishiwasthere #travelphotography #followme #instagoodA photo posted by Jeremy Clinard (@records_of_light_photography) on Jan 19, 2016 at 2:53pm PST
