A tube bait is a hollow-bodied soft plastic fishing lure built around a bulbous shaped head that transitions to small individually cut tentacles that dangle near the bait's tail. Together this bait puts off the action of dangling crawfish, minnow, goby, or unknown creatures swimming and hopping along just begging to be eaten. Soft plastic tubes are commonly known as smallmouth bait and regularly catch largemouth, crappie, trout, musky, and inshore gamefish. The most common way to fish a tube jig is on a jig head or texas rigged.
