The Karl’s Club is a paid membership service that allows our Club members to receive amazing benefits which include up to 30% off items sitewide, free shipping on orders over $25, and access to other exclusive offers!

The price of Karl’s Club starts at only $99 paid upfront for the entire year! There’s also a monthly option for the low price $9.99 per month. All Club memberships will automatically renew unless canceled by the Club Member. If you would like to cancel your Karl’s membership please send us an email to support@shopkarls.com.

If I have a Mystery Tackle Box Subscription am I automatically a Karl’s Club Member?

No, to become a Karl’s Club member you will need to either purchase our annual or monthly membership service. Once you have signed up for Karl’s Club you will be able to receive the amazing benefits such as up to 30% items sitewide, free shipping on orders over $25 as well as access to other exclusive offers!

How Do I Cancel Karl’s Club?

If you would like to cancel log into your account and click the manage auto-renew button on the Karl’s member section below the add on banner. From there, choose the Turn Off Auto-Renew button then close the window and you are set!

For annual Karl’s Club memberships: If you decide to cancel before your 12 month term is up, you will receive the remaining months paid for. Once your canceled membership term is complete you will no longer have access to Karl’s Club benefits and your membership will not be renewed. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation. Refunds will not be provided.

For monthly Karl’s Club memberships: You must cancel before the 1st of the following month to prevent your membership from automatically renewing. If canceled at any time during the month you still receive Karl’s Club membership benefits up until the last day of the month paid for. Once cancelled, a cancellation confirmation will be sent to the email associated with your account.

What is Mystery Tackle Box?

Mystery Tackle Box is a fun and affordable way to discover new fishing products every single month! Our subscription plans introduce beginner and expert anglers alike to new fishing lures and tackle, and the best way to use them. Are you ready to fish like you've never fished before? How Much Does It Cost?

Mystery Tackle Box is only $16.99 a month for our standard box and $26.99 a month for our PRO box and you can cancel any time. Most anglers spend at least $25-$50 per month on fishing gear, so our service exposes anglers to new quality lures at a fraction of the price. Plus we ship for free and don't charge sales tax (in most states).

What Will I Get?

Each month you will get a variety of quality fishing products from both large and small manufacturers. We do our best to send a variety of brands and products types in each box to ensure that you have the best chance of discovering and trying new products. We have product specialists who are experienced tournament fisherman reviewing each bait that we put in the box to make sure it is high quality and effective. 

Can I Select My Species?

Yes! When you sign up you will select the type of species you fish for. We currently offer options for Bass, Walleye, Trout, Panfish, Catfish, Inshore Saltwater and a seasonal Ice Fishing option. We continue to introduce new options and you can change your box type at any time or even add different boxes to your account for different species.

How can I Change my Box Type?

Log into your account and from your dashboard you will see a list of all of your active subscriptions. Under the main dashboard, just click on the button titled 'SWITCH' next to your current species and you'll be provided a list of available options. Be sure you have your box type specified by the last day of the month in order for the change to take effect for the next shipment.

There are many reasons to try Mystery Tackle Box and here are just a few:

1. Mystery Tackle Box will expose you to new quality lures that you may not have found on your own AND it will teach you the best way to use them. This will help you catch more fish.

2. It's a fun and exciting way to keep up with the sport of fishing. Our subscribers can't wait to get their box every month and see what's inside and learn about the latest trends in fishing.

3. You will save money. All of our boxes will help you save up to 40% off the retail prices plus they all ship for free and have no tax (in most states). You should save over a few dollars total on each box in shipping and taxes alone.

4. It's no-risk and you can cancel any time if you are not happy with the service.

How Do I Feature My Baits In A Mystery Tackle Box?

If you have a fishing bait or tackle company and would like information on how your products could be featured to tens of thousands of anglers at little to no cost, please contact us via the "feature your product" link in the menu at the bottom of the page or just send us an email to support@shopkarls.com.

How Do I Stop My Subscription?

If you decide you no longer want to receive a Mystery Tackle Box each month you can easily cancel by logging into your account. From there you will see all your active subscriptions. You can scroll to the bottom and select to pause your subscription for a selected number of months or stop it completely.

*Please note that when you stop your subscription, you won't be billed anything further although you will still receive the boxes you've paid for in your last order.

I Stopped My Subscription, Why Am I Still Receiving Mystery Tackle Boxes?

All sales are final so you will continue to receive the boxes that you've paid for.  For example, if you are cancelling a 3, 6, or 12-month subscription before the full term of the subscription has ended, you will still receive all the remaining boxes (1 per month) until the full subscription plan is completed.

Do You Ship to Canada?

Some of our items will ship to Canada, but not all. Check your individual product pages for more details. Mystery Tackle Boxes will ship to Canada!

Will I Get Full Retail Size Products In My Mystery Tackle Box?

Our boxes are comprised of a mixture of full retail package hard baits and sample packages of terminal tackle and soft plastics. We conducted a survey with thousands of our subscribers and 90% of those said they would prefer more variety of baits in our boxes versus having fewer full size retail packs. This way it allows subscribers to try out and discover new baits and if it's something they like, they can purchase more.

How Does A Gift Subscription Work Versus A Regular Subscription?

There are a couple differences between the regular subscription plans and our gift subscription options.  First, our regular subscriptions are recurring meaning they will automatically renew at the end of the subscription term until you cancel your subscription while our gift subscriptions are non-recurring so they do not renew and will automatically expire at the end of the subscription term.

Second, all of gift subscriptions come with a printable gift certificate. We immediately email a printable gift certificate with a unique gift code that needs to be redeemed on our website in order for the subscription to be activated. The box type (bass, inshore saltwater, ice) and shipping address is entered at the time the gift certificate is redeemed. We strongly suggest having the gift recipient redeem the certificate and create their own account. This will allow the gift recipient to register an account online so they can switch between box types, update their shipping information as needed, and view their shipment tracking information.

How Do I Redeem My Gift Certificate?

A gift certificate can be redeemed at any time to activate the gift subscription. Simply log on to the website (http://shopkarls.com/gifts/redeem) and enter your gift certificate code to start the redemption process and complete your shipping address and registration information to create your account.  

What Day Of The Month Do You Charge Me And What Day Of The Month Will My Box Ship?

We process all payments on the 1st day of each month and we ship all monthly boxes within 10 business days of your order.

No, there is no deadline to order now.  We ship all month long and your first box will ship out within 10 business days of your order.

Is There A Deadline To Redeem My Gift Code To Make Sure I Get My Box This Month?

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Mystery Tackle Box?

Customers in the continental US, please allow up to 7 business days from the time the order ships for delivery. Final delivery will be made by the United States Postal Service (USPS).  Customers in Canada, please allow up to 2-3 weeks for delivery.

How Do I Update My Address?

To change your shipping address, just SIGN IN to your account and scroll down to the subscriptions section.  There you'll see your current shipping address. Select the ‘Update’ button to add or alter the address. Please Note: The deadline to update your shipping address is the last day of the month. Changes made on the 1st of the month or after will go into effect the following month.

How Do I Track My Order?

Active subscribers will receive an email with their tracking number when their order ships.  If you did not receive this email, you can always login to your account and under the 'Your Subscriptions' column on the left side of the page you will see the most recent shipment along with a USPS tracking number and link so you can track your box.

*note: Canadian customers will not have a tracking number.

I Updated My Shipping Address, Why Haven't I Received My Box?

All address updates must be completed by the last day of the month in order to be applied to that current month's shipment.  If you've updated your shipping address on or after the 1st of the month, your box may have been sent to the default shipping address on your account at that time.  To track your box, login to your account and under the 'Your Subscriptions' column on the left side of the page you will see the most recent shipment along with a USPS tracking number and link so you can track your box.

*Please note that we only have inventory of past boxes for 30 days so if you haven't received your box you'll need to contact us within 30 days of that month's shipment in order to receive a replacement. 

I Haven't Received My Box Yet, Where Is It?

We're more than happy to help you find your Mystery Tackle Box. We always send tracking information to the email address on your account when your box ships and you can always log into your account to retrieve your tracking information. If you've recently moved or changed your address, there is a good chance your box was forwarded by the USPS or returned to us.  Please contact our support team by email at support@shopkarls.com and we'll be happy to help track down your box.

*Please note that we only have inventory of past boxes for 30 days so if you haven't received your box you'll need to contact us within 30 days of that month's shipment in order to receive a replacement. 

Can I Return, Exchange or get a Refund for my order?

We do not accept returns or exchanges for our monthly subscription boxes or specialty boxes. Subscription boxes, specialty boxes or any product received in one of our boxes are nonrefundable and are ineligible for returns. This is a firm policy. If you wish to learn more about our returns, exchanges and refund policies, please visit our page on Shipping & Returns Information.

We do offer a 30-day limited return policy applicable to all Rods, Reels, Apparel and additional Fishing Accessories that we sell on our website. If you would like a return, exchange or refund on one of these qualifying products (Rods, Reels, Apparel and additional Fishing Accessories) you will need to contact us within 30 days of the original order date. Products must be in new, unused condition and returned in original, undamaged packaging. You're welcome to open your package and inspect the product, but we can not accept a return if the product shows signs of use. Proof of purchase is necessary.

If the product is defective or damaged upon arrival, we will gladly pay for the return and replacement of your item. If the product is not defective or damaged, although you wish to return or exchange it within the allowed 30 days of the original order date then the return shipping fee will be added to the customer account.
