No angler worth their weight in baits (that would actually be really expensive, but you’re worth it) should be on the water without a good bladed jig in the pre-spawn. The large profile and thumping action of the blade draw them in from a distance. Not only did we include an excellent bladed jig in this box, but we also threw in one of the best trailers to attach to it!

Another kind of lure that can’t be left on the dock in the spring is a lipless crankbait. Ripping this type of bait through early season vegetation will trigger even the most stubborn bass into attacking. Stroke this bait back to the boat and hold on!

Moving baits aren’t the only thing that works this time of year, a good jig with a craw on that back of it can catch fish year round, but it is exceedingly effecting in the spring. Sometimes these fish have to stare at something for a bit before deciding to eat, and a Jig is a great presentation for the fish that take some coaxing.
