The internal weight is positioned in a way that causes the Shad Eye Swimbait to rest on its belly, hook point up, when paused on the bottom. The weight is also heavy and set at the front of the bait, which means the Shad Eye falls rapidly, nose down, mimicking a feeding or fleeing baitfish.

The supple plastic allows the boot tail to kick in incredibly natural, subtle way that fools even the most wary bass. Try using a heavy action baitcasting rod and reel combo with 14-17 lb fluorocarbon. This is a big fish bait, so be prepared to catch fewer, but higher quality fish.

This bait is designed primarily to be fished slowly around deep standing timber, points, and deep weedlines. However, you could also fish it shallow by reeling at a steady retrieve with your rod tip up.
