While most people (and fish, for that matter) are familiar with the wavelike action of a traditional ribbon tail worm, the node at the end of the Raptor Tail accentuates the action of the tail. The buoyancy of the node causes the tail to float upward, and the shape of the node displaces more water.

As a general rule of thumb, try lighter weights in the winter when the fish lethargic and not as willing to chase a fast-falling bait. However, in the summer, try heavier waits.
