Great Bait

I never really used these in the Maine, New Hampshire area until recently. I have to say it performed well and caught some good fish. Great to use in any condition with a variety of retrieves. The more action you give it the better the strike. I look forward to putting more emphasis on using them this summer and have made a hefty investment in these baits.

Versatile bait

A Z Man Chatterbait, whether pro or original, is the most versatile bait I throw. Whether burning through grass or fishing low and slow on the bottom in winter, it always produces. I usually stick with the white chatterbait for clear conditions, and the white chartreuse for dingy water or overcast weather. The profile of a jig, the wobble of a crankbait, and the fish calling flash of a spinnerbait. My only complaint would be that I don't have enough of these things.

While trolling

I don't necessarily use chatter baits from shore, but in a boat is a different story. A month ago I was trolling a 3/8 and 5/8 oz chart. and white pro 2 trolling for active fish in a lake north of Mille Lacs lake in MN. I was fishing the weedlines mainly, and coming through the pretty much weedless. The only issue I have with this bait is that the weedguard and rattles were dislodged after so many Pike that have smacked this bait consistently.

Biggest Fish to Date

I use a Zman Pro Chatterbait 5/8oz on a local lake almost everytime I go, so far I have caught my biggest fish to date with this lure a 6lb LM. I dont usually run a trailer, if I do its a Rage Tail in Blue and Black. I currently have 4 of these Crainkbaits, and I have found the Black and Blue colors work best in dark murky water, aand I use the Chartreuse and Firetiger in clearer water.

Low and Slow

Slow and low is how i used my chatter bait up in northern Michigan now that the water is getting colder. Took me a month to catch something on it because of the cold weather and bright colors but i did end up reeling in a 12inch smally! I used it 10ft deep, let it sink down and slowly reeled in, the slow chatter and waggle made it look wounded and easy prey for the fish. This is my first chatter bait and hopefully i get another in my next box!

Great action

I loved the action and its performance. I caught 3 fish on my first 3 casts! Can't wait to go back out with it.

Quality product & it catches BASS

Great action & vibration, you can really feel it workin. Caught 4 bass in 4-6 foot water all were over 2 lbs.
This Black & Blue color is perfect for night fishin, stained & dark water. Good bait when they are schooling like they do in the fall. Throw it into the middle of the surface activity, let if sink, then jerk it up and let it fall again.

Cant wait

Ive never had the pleasure of fishing a zman before but here a lot of hype about it. Cant wait to try it out when I go to a large lake because its a little to big for the ponds and small lakes I mostly fish.

Very Nice!

This is a large chatterbait and it really makes a commotion coming through the water. Z-Man always makes great products, and this one is no different. Has lots of rattle and thump.

Love it

This was my first time using a Z-Man chatter bait and let me tell you, I was blown away. The way this bait profiles in the water really does give the look of an injured fish. Had a great reaction from the bass. I will continue to use this bait on a regular basis. Thanks MTB for another great bait.

its got that good vibration

Haven't caught anything yet on one outing. But it sure was fun trolling the the boat and just hanging on to the rod. It makes noise, a lot of it, dont think it's for the small bass and thats perfectly fine with me, Im not in it for numbers.

Great

I would love to own more of these ! I only wish the weed guard was stronger and the hook was smaller.

A great chatter

This bait really worked but the hook was a little larger than I would prefer and the weed guard wasn't quite stiff enough. I fished it one a rocky weedless bottom so I just kept it off the bottom and reeled them in. But the size of the eye was excellent.

Chatter me up

Z-Man chatterbaits are the best IMO. There are plenty of times I throw this over a spinnerbait. Great product from Z-Man.

lots of noise here

This bait has been well constructed. It's gonna move a lot of water and make a lot of noise. I got the dark colors and it's gonna be a good catcher.

No luck so far!

I've tried the z-man lure and so far, haven't had any bites. I will continue to test this in different ponds to see if it's the lure or just my amatuer skills, lol. Will post back in another week with my experience.

Awesome action!

I do a lot of shore fishing locally here in NEPA. A lot of the lakes I fish tend to be a bit murky and the chartreuse/white has already landed a few fish. Just amazing the different ways to throw and fish with this lure. It is a little bit on the heavy side to be shore fishing with, but it does not snag often.
