Catch Co. Shimmer Shad
These baits were crafted ideally for the drop shot technique. Rig your bait up off the bottom on dropshot hooks, and let the body do the work. Imitating a dying shad with ultra-realistic color schemes and a top-notch feel, the body even has a crunching texture when you squish it, keeping predators latched on when you set the hook! Tie the Catch Co Shimmer Shad on when you need to finesse a deep bite.

Caught my pb largemouth and PBS small mouth on it. It's great when fish are super finicky
Tried on Crappie
Put this on crappie poll and it acted like a real shad. Got 4 within second of dropping into the hole. May have to buy me more if they don't come in next box.
Really soft, a little pricey, but works great
I gave the bait a 4 star rating for it is to soft and a little pricey for just 3 or 4 baits BUT THEY WORK!!
I get my son a 6 month subscription every Christmas to help get him through the non-fishing months. He looks forward to it every year and checks the mail for 6 months out of the year lol. He's always happy with the selection and has decorated his ice fishing case and tackle boxes with the cool stickers included. He's 18 now and still loves this gift!
Best Drop Shot Bait Ever!!
This bed is beyond unbelievable. It has action with zero movement of your rod. Even when you try to hold it perfectly still the tail continues to wiggle. Absolutely the best drop shot bait I have ever used!!
Catches big and small bass
Good over all bait can easily through catching 10 fish
Looks great, but
Looks great, nice action, but the eyes fall off almost immediately....
These don't work!
Just like the summary... These baits simply do not work... Pull them off the shelves and give them all to me... I can't allow these baits to be in other peoples hands... I swear, they don't work... ;)
Lifelike in the water!
Ran this with swimmer jighead and caught multiple species of fish. Definitely worth a try to throw one of these!
Absolutely love the shimmer shad. No matter clear or murky water I can always seem to find fish because of that shine it has. Only problem I have with it is it's prone to falling off your dropshot hook, so be prepared to either lose them realitivly fast, or get wet to go get em.
Great dropshot bait
Good action and loved the foil to add extra action
Really good lure
This was a really good all around dropshotting soft plastic. Nothing like it but i plan on seeinb more like and bigger variety of shapes but perfrct. Caught a few smallmouth and my pb bass on this
B.A.S.S. love it. Run it through a school of shad and you’ll get em
One of the most realistic drop shot bait I've used, looks great and has great action
Very flashy and gets the attention of smallmouth very well. Even fished n muddy water it works great. Very visible.
So amazing that it only lasts for a couple fish
I'm not a big fan of plastics but thought I'd give this one a shot. On first glance I noticed the reflective strip inside and thought this might be interesting. So I set up a drop shot rig and tossed this bad boy out.... and immediately got slammed by a decent sized smallie. Kept this up until the shad was toast (only 2 fish since they were hitting it so aggressively) ended up catching a bunch of bass and went through three of the shads. They must of driven the fish nuts because every one of them got smashed, one fish hit it so hard the hook went completely through the lip. Great bait and I plan on getting some more.
Great but not durable
This bait is great for catching fish but only lasted about a fish or two then ripped but overall it is a great bait for dropshotting
Great for Bass
Only one to catch bass on this lake we were fishing using this bait. Love it
Loving the crinkly
My box came with drop shot set up and these shads. Didn't know if I was going to like it but the crinkly noise sold me. Makes drop shot even more effective.
Great a catching fish - couple negatives
These baits will catch fish. I have caught largemouth and smallmouth bass, as well as large bluegill on the shimmer shad. The reason for 4 stars over 5 is the durability and price. The durability is based on the baits lasting more that one or 2 fish. my experience is the nose/face of the bait tearing through and the foil coming out. The price is a negative due to only getting 4 baits in a package with the lack of durability. You can go through 4 baits in an hour or 2 if you are actively catching fish. I don't like spending over $5 for a bag of baits that lasts maybe 10 fish.
This bait has helped me catch several species of fish on a dropshot, it's realistic look and the shine of the mirror inside it gives it an extra edge compared to other shad imitations. However the minuses are there's only 4 in a pack, and they tend to only last for 3 or so catches before the nose rips off the hook or the mirror falls out of the bait. But to be fair there are easier to rip baits that are far more expensive then the CatchCo, Shimmer Shad.. I recommend this bait to anyone who loves to Dropshot, or even freefall a weightless shad imitation on 4-6lb line..
Shimmer shad review
First thing first these do catch bass on a drop shot rig , caught my biggest one this summer on it . Durability I give a 3 I dislike how quick the eyes fall off . Colors are great . Would I recommend yes just add additional glue to eyes . Other than that will buy these in all colors
This shimmer shad works great for casting near the bass beds the largemouth bass eat those up
They work pretty good late at night to catch the biggins.
1st time ever using drop shot rig. Made a few casts and slammed a 4 pound largemouth. Best fish I've caught this year. Very satisfied with how bait works.
Overall Good Bait
My only issues with this bait is that the mirror inside the bait pops out after 3 catches, then you have to use another bait and the fact that there are only 4 in a pack.. which makes it expensive if you are gonna use it on a regular basis. pluses are that it looks pretty realistic in the water, and it can be used in several presentations.
Killer dropshot bait!
I received this bait in my MTB Pro box and it is fantastic! I rigged it with a Trapper dropshot hook and the cylindrical dropshot weight on 8 lb copoly and cast it with a medium-light spincaster. I caught a fish on my first cast and several more after that. My only critique is that the eyes fall off the bait after the first cast and the nose tears a little easy. Otherwise, this is an uber-realistic presentation! Great job, Catch Co!
These things caught me a nice fish in 2 casts. Definitely should purchase some more
Put this on a drop shot with a lock hook and boy you'll get a bass asap
