Karl's Tackle Insurance is a free benefit for Karl's Club Members. Members can submit 4 Tackle Insurance claims per year and receive a free replacement product with their next qualifying order. Click 'File a Claim' above and choose from a list of eligible past purchases. Items eligible for replacement include any non-terminal, non-soft plastic tackle product priced at $20 or less purchased on shopkarls.com during the past 90 days. You must have been a Club Member at the time of purchase and at the time of redemption. Replacement items ship with a subsequent Karl's Bait & Tackle ecommerce order over $25.

What products are eligible for replacement?
Items eligible for replacement include any non-terminal, non-soft plastic tackle product priced at $20 or less purchased on shopkarls.com during the past 90 days. Rods, reels, line, accessories, and other non-tackle categories are not eligible.
How many products can I replace each year?
Members can submit 4 Tackle Insurance claims per year.
How do I submit a replacement request?
Click the File a Claim button on this page. After logging in, you will see a list of items you have purchased in the past that are eligible for replacement. Select the item and it will be added to your shopping cart. Once your cart is at least $25, you will be able to check out and the replacement item will be included at no cost in that order.
How many replacements can I claim at once?
You are only able to include one free replacement item in each eligible ecommerce order.
What happens if an item I purchased in the past is out-of-stock?
For items that are no longer available, we will recommend a number of similar products that can be selected for your replacement at no additional cost.
Can I replace items I received in a Mystery Tackle Box or other tackle bundle/kit?
No. Only single items purchased individually are eligible for replacement. However, MTB Add-Ons are eligible.
Can I pick a different color?
Yes. You are able to choose a different color of the item to be replaced.
This seems too good to be true...are you sure I'm not paying for this somehow?

Is this an actual insurance policy?
No, this isn't an actual insurance program. We're a fishing company after all. But it is for real and we think you'll love the confidence it gives you to use that fancy new crankbait on your next outing.
When will new claims be added to my account (I've already used my 4 claims)?
New claims are added to your account on a rolling basis. What that means is that if you file your first replacement claim on June 9th and a second on August 14th, your account will be credited with one additional claim on June 9th and another additional claim on August 14th of the following year.
